My philosophy and approach

I am passionate about helping others heal their relationship with food, connect with their unique body, and learn how to nourish it well.

I follow a non-diet, weight-inclusive philosophy to nutrition and health. I truly believe that all foods can fit in a healthful eating pattern. My approach embodies principles from intuitive eating and Health at Every Size, and is grounded in sound nutrition science.

I enjoy working adults and children of all ages and teach my clients how to use their own body cues, culture, and preferences to make healthful choices, make peace with food, and be their best self.

My Education and credentials

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from the University of Maryland

  • Dietetic Internship at Virginia Tech

  • Master's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University

  • Certified Lactation Educator

About Amanda

When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my husband Brendan our sassy and sweet daughters, June and Claire. We get outdoors as much as possible. We also love to cook, try (and brew!) craft beer, and just enjoy time with family and friends.
